Designed the user-experience for an iOS and Android app for the Taubman Malls. Focused the app design strategy around wayfinding and targeted promotions. The mapping functionality relies on beacons spread throughout the mall, which provide the user the ability to get turn-by-turn directions. Additional functionality includes ways to favorite the stores they like so they can easily access them on the map. It also provides the ability to create itineraries to help the user best plan their journey, and a filtration system to help the user narrow the scope of their search down to amenities and store categories.

Initial Video Sketch - We used the following animations at an early stage of the design process as a way of exploring possible approaches for the user-experience and to communicate our vision to the client. The sketch-like presentation helped focus the conversation on functionality and the user-experience. We chose this approach as a starting point, as opposed to the usual route of starting with wires, as a way to emphasize the experiencial part of the app and communicate how the app provides users with a tool to assist them while shopping. Animations were created using the software After Effects.
Wireframes - Produced the wireframes and annotations using the software Axure. The wireframes played a crucial role in communicating our ideas to the clients and providing design direction for the Ui designer. The following wireframes show the main map screen with the default list / map view, the home screen, menu screen, and the map view. After the clients signed off on the wires, and the Ui designer finished his designs, the wires, annotations, and the design deck were handed over to development to create the app.
